Carousel Buses has enhanced its portfolio of services across the network, including the addition of new Sunday buses and extra late journeys.

These changes aim to provide improved services across Windsor and Maidenhead as part of a network review with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, as well as further improvements to the network in South Buckinghamshire.

Sunday buses have been added to the 15 service, while extra late journeys have been introduced on the 850 route to Marlow. Carousel is also now accepting Thames Valley Buses return tickets on some journeys.

The 15 service between Maidenhead and Slough will benefit from a new Sunday and public holiday timetable, providing new Sunday connectivity between Maidenhead, Taplow, Dorney, Eton Wick, Eton and Slough.

Return tickets issued by Thames Valley Buses on services 53 or 704 will be accepted on shared sections of the route. For service 53, this applies between Maidenhead and Taplow Sainsbury’s, while for the 704, this is between Maidenhead and Slough town centre.

Thames Valley Buses will also accept return tickets issued by Carousel on service 15 on their 53 and 704 routes across the same shared sections.

With support from Buckinghamshire Council, additional late evening journeys will be added to the 850 service between High Wycombe and Marlow, alongside a revised timetable to improve punctuality.

Working in partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, the 37 will benefit from an enhanced frequency of up to every 30 minutes on weekdays between High Wycombe, Bourne End, Cookham, Furze Platt and Maidenhead.

Luke Marion, Managing Director of Carousel Buses, said: “As we continue to build and enhance our network, reviews such as these are necessary to respond to passenger feedback and provide an improved service.

“By working closely with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Buckinghamshire Council, and Thames Valley Buses, we can further improve the customer experience.

“While these changes are applied, passengers should check the Carousel website for all of the up-to-date information.”

Geoff Hill, Cabinet Member for Transport and Highways at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, said: “We know having a robust and reliable bus network is essential for our residents and we’re pleased to work with Carousel to continue to strengthen local services, making it even easier to live, visit and travel in the Royal Borough.”

Other service alterations include revised timetables on the 8, 9, 36, 36S and 681 routes. These will improve punctuality, particularly in the morning peak to ensure more reliable connections for school pupils. Additional journeys will operate on schoolday mornings on the 36 and 36S services between Bourne End, Flackwell Heath and Marlow Hill schools. The 681 route will now start earlier in the morning to ensure better on-time arrival for students at Wexham School.
