Festive bus travelling through Buckinghamshire for first time this Christmas

A bus decked out with hundreds of twinkling festive lights will travel through Buckinghamshire for the first time this Christmas, spreading seasonal joy.

Already a huge hit with sister business Oxford Bus Company, the Christmas Light Bus is coming to Buckinghamshire, hosted by Carousel Buses, this weekend.

Complete with Santa Claus, his elves, and a soundtrack of Christmas classics, the open-top City Sightseeing Oxford double-decker bus will stop at designated locations to spread festive cheer and hand out treats, including vegan and gluten-free options.

On Friday 5 December, the bus will operate between 4pm and 8pm, visiting High Wycombe, Marlow, Maidenhead and Bourne End. The following day, the bus will tour places including Chesham, Amersham and Beaconsfield, again between 4pm and 8pm.

Luke Marion, Managing Director at Carousel Buses, said: “For the very first time, we’ll be bringing the Christmas Light Bus to the good folk of Buckinghamshire.

“This time of year is always special for the community and for us as a community-spirited business.

“We’re passionate about spreading a little festive joy to the communities we serve, and we’re excited to expand upon what is already a very popular offering.

“This event doesn’t cost a penny to attend, so be sure to come and say hello as we pass through your neighbourhood.”

Members of the public are encouraged to get involved and share the magic of the Christmas Light Bus on social media by tagging Carousel Buses and using the hashtag #BucksXmasBus.

Visitors will unfortunately not be able to travel or get on the bus, while Carousel Buses reserves the right to deem any particular area unsuitable for the bus to visit.

The Christmas Light Bus has already played a glittering role at Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival, in mid-November, and, following its Buckinghamshire debut, will operate in Oxford on 12, 13, 19 and 20 December between 4pm and 8pm.
