Group travel fares on Wycombe buses slashed this summer

Bus users in Wycombe can unlock a significant discount on group travel around town this month, thanks to a summer offer launched in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council. 

The Wycombe SMARTzone ticket offers passengers travelling in groups of up to five people 50% off the standard group ticket price when boarding any Zone A route which covers High Wycombe, Bourne End, Hazlemere and Penn. 

A group day ticket will now cost as little as £6.25, with the offer applying to all Zone A routes operated by Carousel Buses, Redline Buses, Red Rose and Red Eagle and running until Sunday 31st August. 

The offer has been developed by Buckinghamshire Council to promote the use of bus services in High Wycombe during the school holidays and is supported by the government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP). 

It is hoped the significant discount will incentivise groups to use local bus services when taking a trip to town, enjoying an afternoon at The Rye or catching the latest release at the cinema.

The Wycombe SMARTzone ticket offer applies to tickets purchased via the Carousel Buses app, and tickets purchased when boarding an eligible service. App group tickets are priced £6.25, with tickets purchased on the bus costing £6.50. 

Each ticket covers up to five people travelling together all day within the Wycombe SMARTzone.
