Brand-new bus service between Slough and Uxbridge among raft of improvements

A brand-new bus service will connect Slough and London in the New Year.

Carousel Buses is launching a 458 service between Slough, Langley, Iver and Uxbridge from 4th January, alongside a range of improved services and timetables.

The 458 service will see buses will run up to every 30 minutes in the daytime from Monday to Saturday, restoring the direct link between Trelawney Avenue and Uxbridge, while providing a quick way to travel between Iver and Uxbridge, as buses will operate along Bangors Road South.

Service 458 offers a connection with the Elizabeth line at Slough and Langley rail station, plus onward connections across London on the Underground network at Uxbridge. Buses will drop off at Belmont Road and pick up from Stop O just outside the station.

In addition to the new 458 service coming into force on 4th January, there will be various improved routes and timetables.

Working with the Royal Borough of Winsor and Maidenhead, and following feedback from residents, a new 4A service will provide three journeys each weekday between Summerleaze and the town centre.

Another new service, the 8, will provide fast and frequent links between Maidenhead town centre, rail station, St Mark’s Hospital, Newlands Girls’ School and Halifax Road. Buses will operate up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime, and up to every hour through the evening and on Sundays.

Following customer feedback, major improvements have been made to the 15 service, which will now extend beyond Slough, Eton, Eton Wick, Dorney and Taplow to Maidenhead via the A4.

In the Slough and Windsor area, there are timetable revisions on the 10/10A, 15, 37/37B, 103 and 106/107 services.

High Wycombe and South Buckinghamshire will see timetable changes to match demand on the 30, 31, 32, 32A, 33, 34, 36, 36S services, while there is revised routing on the 37 service, and punctuality improvements across other services.
